Labourer
Mackay Regional Council has an opportunity for an experienced Labourer to join our Field Services (MRCs internal capital construction) team on a permanent full-time basis based at our Paget Depot.
The position of the Labourer will carry out labouring duties associated with water or sewerage assets, construction projects or maintenance activities under the supervision of a Plumber, Leading Hand and/or Construction Supervisor.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- General Construction Safety ‘White’ Card.
- QLD 'MR' Class Drivers Licence
- Ability to perform hard strenuous work in harsh environmental conditions
- Demonstrated ability to competently operate trucks.
- Experience in construction and maintenance techniques for water and sewage as well as roads and drainage.
- Ability to read, write and perform basic numerical calculations to a standard relevant with the duties involved in the position.
- Ability to work with others and foster a team environment
