Central Coordinator
Mackay Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Coordinator to lead the Central area of the Civil Operations team.
The Central Coordinator is a senior role in the Civil Operations program and is responsible for managing a large team of Supervisors, Leading Hands, Plant Operators, Truck Drivers and Labourers. In this diverse role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the effective and efficient utilisation of personnel, plant and hired resources in the implementation of the maintenance and capital works programmes for roads, drainage and parks infrastructure. You will plan, programme, organise and implement maintenance, scheduled rehabilitation and upgrading of MRC roads and drainage network.
The successful applicant will:
- Qualifications in Civil Engineering field.
- Extensive experience in supervising and coordinating Civil Engineering works including the coordination of resources
- Highly developed Civil Engineering Project Management skills
- Well-developed skills in the areas of job cost, budget control and workplace health and safety compliance
- Demonstrate effective Human Resource Management skills including effective leadership, conflict resolution and communication skills and the ability to motivate a team and foster teamwork.
