Labourer Minor Works



Mackay Regional Council has an opportunity for an experienced Labourer to join Civil Operations team on a permanent full-time basis based at our Mirani Depot.


The position of the Labourer will carry out labouring and plant and truck operation duties associated with maintenance and construction of roads and drainage assets and other associated civil infrastructure under the general supervision of a Supervisor or Leading Hand.


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • General Construction Safety ‘White’ Card.
  • QLD 'C' Class Drivers Licence
  • QLD 'MR' Class Drivers Licence or the willingess to obtain
  • Current Traffic Controllers Ticket or the willingess to obtain
  • Demonstrated ability to competently operate trucks.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction and maintenance techniques in road and drainage works
  • Ability to work with others and foster a team environment
