Electrician, Isaac Region

An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Electrician to join Isaac Regional Council’s Water & Waste Directorate, based in the Isaac Region. Reporting to the Manager Operations & Maintenance, this position is responsible for the maintenance and construction of Council Assets.
The successful candidate will have relevant trade qualifications and licencing for a trade. This position requires a high level of interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with familiarity of relevant Electrical Safety Acts and Electrical Safety Regulations. Demonstrated experience in the ability to allocate workflows and resources to achieve work program objectives is essential. Candidates must have the flexibility to travel and work across the Isaac Region with successful candidate being required to work away from home accommodation will be supplied. Candidates must have up to date Hepatitis vaccinations or be willing to obtain.
General Duties:
- Assisting to develop a preventative maintenance and scheduling plan
- Preventative maintenance tasks
- Breakdown repairs
- Fault finding
- Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring
- Inspect electrical system, equipment and ensuring compliance
- Recording of all information from job cards into Council’s records systems
For this position we offer:
- Above award wages
- Nominally 76 hours per fortnight as per roster (Monday to Thursday)
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading pro-rata
- 12% super (in accordance with policy)
