The Family, Education and Community Services reviews expressions of interests on a monthly basis. Following your application for this position you will receive a response within 6 weeks.
Council operates 9 Long Day Care and 1 Occasional Care Centres providing educational programs that reflect current research and practise in the early childhood field. The Family, Education and Community Services Section is seeking suitably qualified and experienced Casual Aides that are responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating developmentally appropriate programs and maintaining individual records for children 0-6 years.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Diploma level Education and Care qualification recognised as an approved qualification by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
- Current First Aid Certificate/approved asthma and anaphylaxis training
- Knowledge of child development for 0-12 years
- Relevant work experience including practical experience in implementing the Early Years Learning Framework
