The Crew Leader Bridges and Wharves is responsible for the delivery of construction and maintenance projects, predominantly in the area of bridges and wharves, utilising both in-house maintenance staff and contractors to provide quality assets to the community.


Our ideal candidate will be a qualified and experienced Bridge and Wharf Carpenter with a passion for the industry and a high attention to detail displayed in their work. They will have experience leading and developing a team to achieve high standards in the construction and maintenance of bridges, wharves and jetties.


This role offers opportunities for professional development within a large local government area, access to a large range of quality tools and equipment and constant water views while working in a variety of locations across the beautiful Central Coast region.


Key activities of this role include:

  • Program Bridge and Wharves construction works to deliver quality projects effectively and cost effectively through maximizing the use of materials, plant and staff;
  • Lead, manage and supervise an integrated team of day labour staff, contractors and external service providers for the construction of bridges & wharves and associated works;
  • Complete and maintain all necessary documentation to ensure compliance with Quality Assurance requirements, drawings, specifications, policies and legislation, including but not limited to Asset Management, WHS and Environmental Management System.

This role provides a salary rage of between $62.9K to $75.5K per annum + superannuation
