Seeking and enthusiastic systems oriented leader to join our progressive and dynamic Asset Planning team and be a lead our Assets information update and GIS capturing.


This role offers you the opportunity to be responsible for day to day creation, updated and disposal of asset data for all infrastructure assets along with management of relevant asset data standards and documentation associated with the processing, data collection, management along with the planning, preparing, reviewing and maintaining the spatial data using ARCGIS and compatible software.


Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Maintain and update council GIS and Asset information data including underground and above ground feature and geographic information drawings and data.
  • Update, assess and convert survey data provided by external consultants and contractors to produce relevant GIS mapping drawings which can be used for council reporting and planning purposes.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key partners both internally and externally. 


About You

Ideally, you are experienced GIS and data analyst and worked in Victorian local government with the knowledge of asset management and relevant standards and come from an engineering background who can understand the AS-built and underground services plans and various overlays (GEO GIS/CIVIL) along with a positive can-do attitude with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships
