About you

We are looking for an experienced Revenue Accountant with a high level of knowledge about Local Government rating, strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.  You will have financial experience and the ability to provide specialist advice and direction to the Rates Revenue Team. 


About the role

As the Revenue Accountant, you will be reporting to the Manager Finance to ensure completeness, integrity and accuracy to all rating information and systems. 


Some of your core functions include:

  • Coordinate, perform and control the efficient operation of the Rates function within time and legislative constraints.
  • Enhance current operations and improve services by developing and implementing procedures and services in the rating function.
  • Coordinate in-house recovery of debtors and charges, determining the most productive avenue for recovery and legal
  • action with limited disharmony.
