CULTURAL HERITAGE COORDINATOR (TEMP 12 MONTHS)

This position is a maternity relief position for a fixed term of 12 months. The role is responsible for the provision of specialist heritage advice and expertise to Council staff regarding the management of Council’s heritage assets, as well as the administration of Council’s Heritage Advisory Committee and supervision of Council’s heritage advisor. The position also administers grant funding obtained by the Council for heritage projects within the City.
The successful candidate will be a qualified heritage professional, with demonstrated experience in cultural heritage management, the development of strategies and plans to support and enable heritage management, and the ability to think creatively and strategically to address complex challenges. Experience in the local government context is also valuable.
Salary: commencing at $2910.80 gross per fortnight.
