Works Coordinator (Construction)

The Position:
Working within the Infrastructure Delivery Unit, you will be responsible for leading and managing the operational staff in a wide range of activities including; road and drainage construction, private works, traffic management, quality and environmental control, WHS, emergency responses and the programming of resources and work crews.
Skills / Experience Required:
- Extensive experience in all aspects of road and drainage construction preferably within Local Government;
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Environmental Protection Act and the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices;
- Experience in works programming and budget control;
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to create and foster a positive and effective workplace culture;
- Hold a current ‘Class C’ Drivers Licence and General Safety Induction Card; and
- Certificate IV in Civil Construction, Certificate IV in Operational Works and / or a current Truck Licence will be highly regarded.
The position is offered under a 2-year maximum term contract, with an attractive remuneration package to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
