Supervisor Unsealed Roads
The City of Ballarat, 100km west of Melbourne’s CBD is the third largest city in Victoria and one of the fastest growing Councils in regional Australia. The Road Maintenance team is looking for a diverse individual to fill the role of Supervisor Unsealed Roads to be responsible for the day to day planning, implementation and supervision of a highly skilled and high performing team to maintain the City of Ballarat’s extensive Unsealed Road and Shoulder network.
The supervisor will form part of the Road Maintenance leadership team and will have a” can do” attitude along with previous experience in leading and motivating a team to deliver maintenance services in line with the City of Ballarat’s Culture and Behaviours.

Key Selection Criteria
- Ability to lead and motivate staff to demonstrate and display City of Ballarat values and behaviours
- Experience in the planning, implementation and supervision of a team to achieve daily work activities
- Experience in the delivery of a works program through the implementation of new systems and processes to improve work practices.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Road Management Act 2004 and Council’s Road Management Plan.
- Knowledge and experience in Civil and Maintenance techniques relating to Unsealed Road Maintenance.
- Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.
