Through the delivery of services and team expansions, we have two new exciting opportunities available. This full-time opportunity will see you join our Information Technology Team who are a strategic and integral business partner and are committed to continually developing people, practices and technologies to professionally deliver business solutions and services. The IT Infrastructure team manages the SA Water server fleet, including day to day operation of backups, hardware and storage across a range of technologies including Vmware, Citrix, Windows Server, Nimble Storage and Veeam.

 Your responsibilities for this opportunity include: 

As an enthusiastic and strategic thinker, you will work within a high performing team committed to delivering technical support to ensure IT Infrastructure Assets are managed for optimal capacity and utilisation.

• Supporting and troubleshooting of our IT Server Infrastructure and improving the resilience of these assets
• Manage incidents and respond to various customer queries and service requests
• Oversee changes to the environment have minimal negative impact on the business
• Mentor team members and act as the escalation point for complex server issues
• Identify areas of improvement and evaluate procedures and documentation
• Adhere to IT Security guidelines and daily server performance monitoring to ensure response times are within SLA’s
• Partner with the business to develop and implement strategies for security improvements
• Deliver technical advice, plan and conduct upgrades with minimal business disruption
• Support a collaborative and engaging team culture that is solutions focused and initiating innovative outcomes

Your success in this role will come from:

• University degree in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience
• Proven ability to build effective and efficient collaborative relationships with a broad audience
• Competent in communicating and influencing across the business to negotiate and deliver outcomes 
• Proficient in diagnosing and solving complex computer systems
• Sound business acumen
• ITIL Certification is desirable  
• On-Call on a rostered basis (approximately one week every 6 weeks).
