The Accountant - Financial Services is responsible for the financial and management accounting aspects of Council’s Finance operations. You will be responsible for ensuring all day-to-day financial records are captured and reported accurately in a timely manner and assist other areas within Financial Services to efficiently carry out Finance operations activities.


Our ideal candidate will be someone who is methodical, and has the ability to work in a fast paced and high volume environment. You will have worked previously for a medium to large organisation and have solid contemporary experience with reconciliations, data management, interactions with internal and external stakeholders and finance users and have the ability to prepare and maintain non-financial statistical data of finance operations across the organisation.


Key activities of this role include:

  • Contribute to the successful achievement of the Unit’s corporate objective by providing accounting and analytical support;
  • Assist in upholding the integrity of data within the Finance systems;
  • As directed assist the team in preparing monthly general ledger reconciliations, investigate and remediate gaps in accounting processes in a timely manner.

This role provides a salary range of between $75.1k to $90.1k per annum + superannuation.
