The Shire of Ashburton serves communities across a vast region in the Pilbara, Western Australia. The region is known for mining, agriculture and fishing, and for its rugged, ancient landscape. Tom Price is WA’s highest town, located right on the edge of the state’s second largest national park, Karijini.


ABOUT THE POSITION

An exciting opportunity is now available to join the awesome team at the Vic Hayton Memorial Pool! This position will assist the Swimming Pool Manager to appropriately manage daily pool water chemistry requirements, ensuring the plant room is running accurately, and water chemistry is as per health regulations as well as support in providing a safe, attractive and healthy aquatic environment and programs which meet the needs of the community and enhance community health and fitness, family and community cohesion.

During the Pool season, which runs from the end of September until the end of April, additional hours will be required, however Time off in Lieu may be accrued for use during the ‘off season’. Our ideal candidate will have all of the mandatory qualifications and experience in a similar role, and be a fit and active person who is looking to be part of a small and vibrant community situated in the heart of the Pilbara. The successful candidate will be required to start as soon as possible, pending pre-employment checks.

This position offers a competitive remuneration package and six weeks’ annual leave. All terms and conditions are as per the Shire of Ashburton Enterprise Agreement 2017.
