Enterprise Portfolio Management Lead


  • A rare opportunity presents itself for the successful applicant of this role to build their own high performing Enterprise Portfolio Management Office.
  • Permanent, full time (flexible working arrangements available)
  • Band 8: $107,673 to $120,664 range plus 9.5% Super
  • St Kilda location – close proximately to all amenities: public transport, shops, parks and beach

This role offers you the opportunity to lead the organisation and develop and deliver a portfolio of projects that supports the Council Plan and reflects and balances community and Council views and organisational requirements.


Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Co-ordinate the effective planning of the annual enterprise project portfolio and ten-year plan and budget
  • Ensure all projects are effectively planned and subject to disciplined project governance at each stage gate.
  • Ensure effective and efficient tracking of progress of all projects within the portfolio and provide regular accurate reports of the status of projects to the Executive and Council.
  • Develop and deliver an organisation wide project delivery capability and development program that ensures that council’s project staff is familiar with and proficient with the project delivery methodology and processes.
  • Operate, maintain and improve the effective and efficient operation of the project management system.

About You

Ideally, you have experience and proven track record in developing and implementing project management methods, tools and processes for the full project life cycle, and demonstrated experience working in cross organisational contexts and an ability to build positive and productive working relationships.
