About the role:

      We have a permanent opportunity based in Geraldton for an experienced Welder/Fabricator Tradesperson. You will be responsible to work in the field repairing steel pipelines, installing new assets and general maintenance requirements. Additionally you will require workshop fabrication skills using a range of equipment and welding processes.

       

       

      What the role will involve:

      • Perform complex welds of a standard under WS-1 (or equivalent)

      • Make decisions about worksite priorities

      • Apply advice from engineers for complex problems

      • Plan and prepare for maintenance tasks on isolated assets

      • Plan work and solve water operational problems

       

      Key skills and experience:

      • Relevant welding qualifications

      • Current ‘MR’ Licence

      • Demonstrated experience in welding water pipework in the field

      • Extensive prior experience in the Trade in the Water Industry/or similar
