The Position:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, experienced and qualified candidate to join the Shire of Broome in the role of Manager Environmental Health, Emergency and Rangers. This position will report to the Director Development and Community and supervise nine employees.

The Manager Environmental Health, Emergency and Rangers will be responsible for the effective management of the Shire of Broome’s Health and Emergency and Ranger Services activities.

The Person We Seek:

The preferred candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health or qualifications acceptable to the Department of Health Executive Director of Public Health. Additional requirements include demonstrated experience in leading, managing and building teams of people, highly developed knowledge of Environmental Health and Local Government legislation, developed negotiating, public relations, community engagement, conflict resolution and public education skills and at three to five years experience as a Manager in a related function.
