The position of Diesel Fitter – Mechanical Tradesperson is responsible for maintaining Council’s plant and equipment fleet to a high standard, providing a high level of mechanical expertise to our clients, both internal and external.
Key responsibilities of this role shall include but not be limited to:
- Effective provision of mechanical services for the repair, maintenance and servicing of Council's plant and equipment
- Completion of all required documentation
- Provide trade guidance and assistance as part of a work team
- Other responsibilities as delegated by Management within the scope of this position
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Indentured Tradesperson as a Mechanic or Diesel Fitter
- Minimum five (5) years mechanical trade person experience
- Current QLD ‘C’ Class drivers licence
- General Construction Safety ‘White’ card (or willingness to obtain)
- Mechanical experience must include engines, transmissions, hydraulics, automotive air-conditioning and auto electrical
Salary & Benefits Package:
- Annual base salary from $64,343 plus allowances as applicable
- Choice of 4 or 5 weeks’ annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
- Up to 18% superannuation contribution (conditions apply)
