About the Role
Tablelands Regional Council are seeking a Senior Human Resources Advisor to provide advice and support to their Employees, Supervisors and Managers in Industrial Relations and Human Resources matters. This position will provide a great opportunity for a HR Generalist to develop their professional skills in a complex organisation.
The Senior HR Advisor provides coaching and mentoring to supervisors and managers to develop capability in people management. They will tackle a varied and broad ranging caseload. They will have exposure to a well-structured Organisational Culture Development program and the implementation of a new Workforce Strategy.
This is a two (2) year fixed term contract whilst the incumbent is on secondment.

About the Person
The position requires strengths in interpersonal communication, influence and negotiation. The ability to work well under pressure, remain calm and maintain an objective perspective is essential. Data extraction, manipulation and analysis skills combined with excellent report writing skills Tertiary qualifications and/or experience as an HR Generalist are highly desirable.
Experience in the following areas:
- Dealing with complex industrial and employee relations issues and challenges
- Coaching supervisors and managers in managing performance and behaviour
- Applying and interpreting Awards
- Developing and maintaining HR policies and procedures
