Management Accountant (Business Support)



Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking for an exciting opportunity in this newly created role? You will work as a business partner across the City, contributing to the provision of timely, meaningful and accurate financial information.


You will be part of the team that coordinates, prepares and delivers workshops and training related to improved budgeting methods, and work in a high performing team to provide a range of financial information to the organisation. There is an opportunity for this position to make a significant contribution to the City’s vision.


The successful applicant will have a relevant degree or diploma qualification or substantial experience in applying contemporary accounting/financial management principles and practices (CPA/CA level strongly preferred, but not essential if appropriate experience). This will include an ability to apply expertise and analytical skills to ensure financial reports are accurate and informative. Ideally you will have strong enterprise system finance experience (TechnologyOne is the City’s core finance system).


Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to identify priorities and manage workloads are essential for this role.


A satisfactory police check is required for this position upon commencement.
