The Opportunity

You will deliver drinking water optimisation and engineering solutions and improvements in your area of specialisation to help deliver on our customer promises. You will work across the organisation and liaise with other engineers and specialists, demonstrating your awareness of water quality, environmental, customer and community impacts, and balancing risk, productivity and cost with our zero harm philosophy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assess and evaluate water distribution networks, water treatment processes, and plants and formulate and implement optimisation, improvement  and risk reduction strategies.
  • Research and prepare engineering documents e.g. detailed reports, plans, specifications and critical business cases to inform audiences of engineering imperatives, principles and recommendations.
  • Apply established and innovative engineering methods to complex problems and review, recommend and implement initiatives to improve asset performance.
  • Coordinate complex engineering programs and projects.
  • Lead and train engineers and other employees in engineering methodologies and systems to grow our organisational capability.

Your Application

Your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the selection criteria in the Position Description, summarised as follows:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • In depth understanding of engineering standards, concepts and principles pertaining to water and sewerage assets.
  • Substantial experience applying professional engineering and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to identify cost, scope and time issues relevant to engineering programs, projects and strategies.
  • Influencing skills across teams with proven ability to coach and mentor others.
