The Council's Service Centre Delivery Directorate provides a range of services which include Waste Management, Parks & Cemetery Maintenance, Civil and Municipal Works, Power Water Essential Services, Australia Post, Centrelink and Council Administration Services.
As the Coordinator Service Centre Delivery you will be responsible for the effective delivery of Local Government municipal and contract services as delivered under the Council's strategic plan.
The position is responsible for the management of key personnel in a remote Service Centre, along with ensuring Council's services are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, procedures and contractual requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven ability in leading, managing, developing and directing staff
- Strength in developing a team based culture
- Demonstrated experience in project planning and implementation
- Strong operational planning background with high standards of customer service
- Demonstrated self management skills and ability to excel in an autonomous environment
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
These positions are situated in remote Central Australian communities in the MacDonnell Regional Council area, which is around the same size as Victoria. Due to the geographical and logistical location of these communities, this role requires a leader who has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that will enable liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders.
You will also require the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships within the community. A genuine interest in community development and making a difference in a remote based locality is required.
