Primary Work Location: Niagara Park Child Care Centre

  • Lead an experienced team in a child care service which is embedded in the local Community 
  • Live and work on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW
  • Temporary full time position (up to 12 months parental leave cover) + fortnightly RDO

Central Coast Councils Child Care Centres play a key role in delivering upon Council's lifelong learning goals, not only providing exceptional education and care, but also connecting families and carers within the fabric of their local communities. 


Our ideal candidate will be someone who feels passionate about quality education and care and incorporates community in their approach. A Qualified Early Childhood Teacher you will be experienced in leading the day-to-day operations of a child care service and bring a strong, collaborative leadership style and the ability to guide and support our positive team culture during the leave of absence of the Centre Director. 


Key activities of this role include:

  • Manage the service delivery of long day care and occasional care (where applicable) to meet the needs of up to 50 children aged 0 – 6 years and their families;
  • Manage the financial interface of all facets of the service, including procurement, management of fees and financial records, ensuring the budgetary processes are adhered to and expenditure is maintained within approved levels and as aligned with legislative requirements;
  • Effective management and mentoring of team members in relation to ongoing education commitments and development opportunities including accredited course attendance, training, regular feedback and appraisal.

This role provides a salary range of between $75k to $90k per annum + superannuation.


Applicants will be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus or demonstrate their immunity. CMV Screening will be required.
