Federation Council is a prospering rural community situated on the Murray River centrally located between the rural cities of Albury, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Wagga Wagga and Shepparton.  Corowa is 3 hours from Melbourne, 4 hours from Canberra and 6 hours from Sydney.


The Technical Officer will support the works within Council Engineering Services Department in areas including, but not limited to customer service, internal and external applications receipt and processing, minor survey and minor design, project support and Local Traffic Committee support.


The successful candidate will need to innovate, create, champion improvement through workplace efficiency and make things happen. If you have experience in a civil engineering environment or local government technical department, working with diverse teams, budgets and projects to achieve outcomes, then this position would be ideal for you.  With a contemporary approach to leadership you will need to possess a true commitment to customer service, outstanding communication, engagement and negotiation skills.


The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government State Award and Council’s policies and conditions of employment.  The salary will be within the range of $1109.60 to $1351.90 per week, depending on qualifications, experience and skills.  This is a Grade 12 to 16 in Council’s Salary System.
