Labourer Natural Environment



Mackay Regional Council has an opportunity for an experienced Labourers - Natural Environment to join our Parks, Environment and Sustainability team on a permanent full-time basis based at our Swayne Street Depot. 


The position of the Labourer - Natural Environment is to provide a broad range of vegetation management and general labouring maintenance tasks on beaches, foreshores and natural areas supervised by the Leading Hand. Attend to scheduled development and maintenance activities and contribute to the completion of work tasks generated by Council, residents and external clients.


To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Current General Construction Safety ‘White/Blue’ Card
  • Current QLD ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
  • Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Certificate (ACDC Ticket) or Chemcert
  • Chainsaw Level I
  • Experience in general building maintenance and/or construction
  • Experience in weed control and vegetation restoration
