The positions of Crew Member Driver and Crew Member Operator are responsible for the efficient delivery of Council’s Spray Sealing Program as part of the Spray Sealing Crew. This program is part of the Road Treatment Program and Council’s Capital Works Program.


Both roles involve operating plant as required such as a loader, street sweeper and multi-tyred roller, and spreader truck and perform manual tasks associated with Spray Sealing.


The ideal candidate will be adaptable, flexible and focused when dealing with change and will be able to work as part of a multi skilled team in a safe and effective manner.


Key activities of this role include:

  • Operate plant as required such as a loader, street sweeper and multi-tyred roller, and spreader truck;
  • Form, pour and spread materials such as concrete, road base and asphalt;
  • Perform general road construction work including concreting, pipe laying and traffic control.
