The Opportunity
Council are currently seeking a Procurement Advisor to support the management of a diverse range of categories, in addition to maintaining the quality of customer service by ensuring business needs are met first and foremost, with a focus on cost savings where possible.
Situated within the Procurement Policy department and reporting to the Head of Procurement, this role will see you assisting in the development and management of procurement strategies, which include value chain analysis, as well as the introduction of innovation and effective governance so that value for money and sustainability outcomes are realised.
About You
To be suitable for this position, you will possess the following:
- Completion of a relevant Tertiary qualification/degree, preferably specialising in procurement and supply chain in a related discipline, and relevant experience working in a service delivery environment
- Experience in contract and report writing, in addition to utilising business intelligence software and working with procurement analytics and presentation skills
- Experience in strategic procurement, tendering, and contract management, and an understanding of the legislative and policy requirements.
