In the role of Senior Service Planner, you will deliver multi-modal public transport service improvements throughout Queensland. You will operate within a dynamic and results driven, customer focused environment. Your primary focus will be to create and deliver transport outcomes which proactively respond to current and emerging travel needs in our community. This isn’t planning for a far-off future, this is planning in the here and now. You will make changes to the transport networks that our customers use every day and you will see the difference this makes to their lives.

Accountabilities include:

• Manage the development of proposals for public transport service improvements and successfully implement associated service changes.

• Utilise service planning / mapping software to develop public transport proposals, communicate and gain approval to implement service changes.

• Undertake high level timetable preparation to ensure proposed service changes are operationally affordable and can be implemented.

• Analyse data (for example ticketing or real time information) to inform service or network changes and ensure schedules represent value for money to the state government.

• Evaluates service performance to ensure investment represents value for money for the state government.

• Influences internal and external stakeholders in collaborative manner to address issues and identify opportunities for public transport networks.

• Provides timely input to correspondence (Cabinet submissions, ministerial correspondence, customer concerns and briefing notes) to meet government requirements.

• Provide advice into matters such as development applications and strategic planning projects to ensure customer interests are protected.

This role reports to the Manager (Service Planning).
