In the role of Senior HR Advisor (Industrial Relations) you will provide industrial relations (IR) consultancy services across the Department of Transport and Main Roads, to coordinate and facilitate the resolution of complex IR matters.

Accountabilities include:

• Contribute to the delivery of a fit of purpose IR department wide service to enhance business delivery across TMR.

• Contribute to the delivery of IR advocacy services aligned with and responsive to the needs of the business.

• Contribute to the development and ongoing management of the department's IR strategies.

• Contribute to the resolution of complex employee relations matters.

• Conduct reviews of complex IR matters and provide high level strategic advice and assistance to resolving/progressing matters.

• Contribute to the department's capability and awareness of complex IR matters.

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the department and with other government agencies, to encourage partnerships, sharing of concepts and information and IR initiatives.

• Contribute to the development of frameworks, models, policies and operational processes that support a sustainable, robust and agile workforce.

This role reports to the Manager, Industrial Relations.
