About the role
 

We have a permanent opportunity for an experienced Team Leader - Priority One Communicationsworking with the Water Corporation’s Media & Government Relations team. In this role you will lead a small team that write, review and manage internal sign-off of all Ministerial and Chief Executive Officer (Priority One) correspondence to ensure it is accurate, effective and timely. The team also manages all Water Ombudsman customer service enquiries. This position will be based in our Leederville office, reporting to the Manager – Media & Strategic Communications.

 

What the role will offer

 
  • Manage the process for producing priority one correspondence including internal sign off to tight deadlines in close liaison with senior management

  • Manage the process for responding to Water Ombudsman customer enquiries within agreed timeframes

  • Use conceptual and research skills to analyse information provided  by subject matter experts and lead a small team that prepare priority one responses

  • Manage centre of expertise advice on format, content, tone and style for draft priority one correspondence to ensure it conforms to a high standard

  • Manage the workflow of the Priority One correspondence team and ensure all staff involved in the process have a clear understanding of their responsibilities

 
Key skills and experience 
 
  • Degree level qualification in journalism, public relations or other communications related discipline

  • Considerable experience at a senior level in a large multi-disciplined and commercially focussed service organisation providing executive/advisory support services

  • Relevant experience in contributing to developing and implementing customer focussed policies, guidelines and process improvements

  • Relevant experience and demonstrated capability with and knowledge of processes, procedures and protocols related to the workings of government, ministerial liaison and related high-profile enquiries

  • Demonstrated team leadership experience
