About the role:

A fantastic opportunity to acts as a technical specialist and business systems expert using application knowledge and skills to provide operational processing, higher level administration, development, learning and/or analysis to support the delivery of effective and efficient use of the Water Corporation’s Business Applications.

 
What the role will offer:
  • Analyse and define general business process and stakeholder needs and translate into application specifications and designs

  • Prepare written analysis, including recommendations and conclusions, of application performance, change and improvement

  • Assess and investigate routine business application change requests

  • Recommend application improvements based on end-user interaction, process performance and knowledge of system, functionality and capability

  • Undertake routine configuration, participate in testing and document outcomes and results

  • Provide second level support, resolution and or advice with respect to end-user queries, issues, problems and competency

  • Assist in the rollout and development relevant software updates and upgrades.

  • Draft and maintain documentation associated with issues, changes, release, development and learning of relevant applications

  • Monitor the availability and performance of system and interfaces

  • Assist with the implementation of new, updated and/or upgraded business applications

Key skills and experience:

  • Relevant tertiary level qualification (e.g. Business/Management Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science, etc);   and,

  • Relevant experience in providing information technology business applications support function within a large multifaceted, geographically dispersed organisation

  • Considerable experience in the implementation and delivery of a relevant business applications support function within a large multifaceted and geographically dispersed organisation

  • Certificate One in Workplace Assessment & Training – current holder or ability to attain

  • Demonstrated ability and/or achievements to improve business processes or operations through the use of business systems/applications

  • Knowledge of systems/applications development lifecycle and phases

  • Familiarity and experience with formal techniques/methodologies used to design and develop information systems

  • Advanced level skills in the use of MS Office suite of tools
