  • Salary negotiable from $53k to $63k pro-rata
  • Permanent part time
  • 21 hours per week

The Role:

This role is a newly created position reporting directly to the Director Support Services, as the Internal Audit Coordinator. The role is responsible for the coordination Council’s Internal Audit function including managing and coordinating internal audits and external service providers. The successful applicant will also raise awareness of the internal audit function and oversee and support the timely resolution of management actions arising from the internal audit reports.


You must have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Accounting or a relevant busines related discipline and/or extensive experience within an Internal Audit or Risk Management function
  • Demonstrated experience in a role within an internal audit function in a large multidisciplinary organisation
  • Demonstrated understanding of risk management principles, governance and controls, and the principles of public sector accountability
  • An understanding of management principles sufficient to recognise and evaluate significance of deviations from good business practices
