An opportunity exists with Ngaanyatjarra Council Aboriginal Corporation (NCAC) for a CDP Engagement Officer to join our CDP team working on Ngaanyatjarra Lands. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person with a strong interest in remote communities to make a real difference to the lives of Aboriginal people.


About the role 

These roles have a strong focus on Community Activity Development & Supervision as well as an understanding of Case Management requirements


Activity Planning & SupervisionYou will be required to engage with CDP Job Seekers to facilitate and implement Work for the Dole (WfD) activities. This will involve working with community members to identify, implement and monitor WfD activities and projects. WfD participants will be encouraged to engage in activities that will add value to their community and all residents, including such activities as supporting aged care and health services, community office support, school attendance, community maintenance and beautification, grass/weed management, fire breaks and fence repairs. There may also opportunities to engage with local Art Centres.


Case Management 

You will be required to have, or willing to gain an understanding of integrated case management services to CDP Job Seekers. This will involve engaging with Job Seekers to gain an understanding of their goals and potential personal barriers, developing job plans, regularly meeting with and providing ongoing support and working with them to improve their employability. Accuracy and a general understanding of IT processes associated with Employment & Community Services Network (ECSN). (Case Management will be actively supported by the Compliance Team in Perth).


Benefits

The position comes with an attractive remuneration package that includes a base salary of $76,681 pa, plus 9.5% superannuation, 8 weeks leave pa, 17.5% leave loading, PBI salary packaging, $4,333 remote living allowance, annual airfare and free accommodation and utilities.
