SUMMARY

We have a new, exciting and challenging opportunity based in Adelaide for an experienced and demonstrated Strategic Manager to lead the development of effective and smart maintenance and reliability strategies for our assets. You will ensure service reliability is provided that minimises risk and optimises operational performance and life cycle costs

The successful candidate will boast demonstrated experience in being able to lead and build a high performing team of engineers in a changing environment as we move towards a new maintenance and reliability framework.

You will be described as a strong leader with the ability to influence great outcomes for customers in a cost effective & efficient way with an unwavering focus on continually challenging the status quo for improvement.

Your contribution to the team includes:

  • Leading an experienced team of Engineers and fostering a safe & positive environment, supporting constructive conversations, innovative thinking and coaching for success
  • Develop new maintenance and reliability strategies and plans, that are well integrated with our asset life cycle 
  • Develop smart maintenance strategies moving from reactive to predictive maintenance to increase operational performance and in turn reduce cost 
  • Develop the maintenance master data standard to outline our approach ensuring that appropriate processes, systems and tools are used to create and change maintenance strategies, plans and associated data 
  • Lead the development and delivery of reliability, condition monitoring and non-destructive testing programs in accordance with regulation and Australian standards 

What will you need to bring to the role in order to be successful:

  • Professional qualifications in Engineering
  • Relevant & Demonstrated experience in a similar role from within a similar environment (Mining Oil/Gas)
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and management of reliability engineering, condition monitoring and non-destructive testing services for large infrastructure based operational business
  • Proven experience in Leading, driving and influencing a high performing and multi-disciplined team of engineers and technical specialists in a changing work environment focused on innovation and continuous improvement
  • Ability to lead and influence within a changing environment
  • Strong and authentic Influencer with engaging interpersonal skills
  • Customer centric with superior communication skills both written and verbal
  • MUST hold a current, driver’s licence at all times
