We have a NEW, exciting and challenging opportunity for a Metropolitan Network Manager - Customer Field Service (CFS) with extensive, demonstrated success in the delivery of transitioning business functions in to new delivery models.

The Adelaide Service Delivery Project (ASDP) will change the way we deliver water services to our 1.2 million metropolitan customers.

You will bring to the SA Water organisation and to the Adelaide Service Delivery Project (ADSP) vast, proven operational expertise in a similar role from within a network business ie; water, gas, power, rail. Your operational expertise will inform, develop, implement, assist and support new systems, structures, procedures and practices for the new operating model in conjunction with the ASDP transition team

You will be described as a strong agile, influencer when operating within a changing environment who has proven ability to develop and maintain tactical and strategic relationships across both your internal and external key stake-holder groups.

  • Manage the integration of metropolitan services in to customer delivery
  • Understand current state, develop future state and prepare for change
  • Develop and lead effective commercial relationships
  • Lead the interface between SA Water, Alliance partner and Managing contractor

Your contribution to the team includes:

  • Lead the development, implementation and ongoing assessment of the ASDP transition plan
  • Assist, support, develop and implement new systems, structures, procedures and practices to support the new operating model in conjunction with the ASDP transition team
  • Support the interface between the new Customer Field Services and the new Production and treatment arrangement
  • Build and maintain strong, effective working relationships with our managing contractor and staff
  • Manage the strategic nature of the commercial relationship to ensure long term value and sustainability for the metropolitan service delivery   
  • Identify resourcing integration needs (inc technical, capital, human and technological) review current state and make informed recommendations for future delivery success
  • Ensure the metropolitan services deliver a high level of customer service, meet KPI’s and optimise cost through innovation

What will you need to bring to the role in order to be successful:

  • Professional qualifications in Engineering, Science or Business Management
  • Operational “technical expert” in setting up systems, structures, process, procedures and practices for operational delivery models from within a network business 
  • Previous demonstrated experience in transitioning business functions into new delivery models
  • Proven experience in a similar role from within a network business
  • A seasoned senior operations manager with contract management experience and strong commercial acumen
  • Authentic leader with a natural ability to influence
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and partnerships across a multi-disciplined, matrix environment

Initially a three (3) year fixed term contract with a view to ongoing vast career opportunities. An attractive and competitive salary package is on offer, proportionate to skills and experience. Relocation support may be offered to secure the right person.
