TMR's Passenger Transport Infrastructure Investment Program (PTIIP) is TMR's capital investment program which funds infrastructure projects to improve passenger transport service efficiency and reliability, as well as customer access and integration. The current program has allocated $545 million of investment over the next four years, delivering projects across Queensland such as stops, stations, park ‘n' rides, bus priority measures, signage, wayfinding and accessibility upgrades to existing passenger transport infrastructure.

Accountabilities include:

• representing TransLink Division as program owner of TMR's Passenger Transport Infrastructure Investment Program (PTIIP), and Project Customer/Senior User for the design, construction and finalisation phases of passenger transport infrastructure projects, to ensure projects funded through PTIIP deliver intended benefits to TransLink customers and services

• building relationships and working successfully with delivery partners, both internal and external to TMR (particularly including local governments and Queensland Rail), to ensure projects delivered achieve good outcomes for passenger transport customers

• providing specialist engineering advice, information and recommendations relating to passenger transport infrastructure, in the interests of TransLink customers and service providers. This will include undertaking technical site assessments and making decisions on site suitability and constructability requirements for passenger transport infrastructure. This also requires communicating technical advice to non-technical audiences, which will include internal TMR stakeholders, local governments, other state agencies, developers, elected representatives, other external stakeholders and the community.

• providing program management assistance for PTIIP, developing and prioritising statewide programs of works and managing program performance, risks and benefits to ensure successful delivery of passenger transport infrastructure investments

• directly project managing the delivery of passenger transport infrastructure projects, as required (examples include design and construction of bus stop infrastructure, customer wayfinding signage and accessibility upgrades)

• providing technical leadership and supervising engineers in the team, as required (typical areas of expertise include traffic engineering, road safety, civil engineering, project management)

• practising a culture of continuous improvement by leading and/or working with key stakeholders to develop innovations and best practice guidance and approaches to designing and providing passenger transport infrastructure.

This position reports to the Manager (Infrastructure Delivery) in TransLink Division.
