Marketing and Communications Officer
The City of Ballarat is seeking a highly motivated and experienced marketing and communications professional to develop proactive marketing, advertising, communications and media campaigns and strategies for the Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre.
The position is responsible for ensuring the Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre is marketed and communicated to the media, the community and other stakeholders in a positive light. This includes liaising with internal business units; co-ordinating marketing, communication and advertising tools; and developing and supporting the day- to-day management of the centres corporate brand and identity.
Key Selection Criteria
Qualifications in Marketing/Public Relations/Communications
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing marketing, advertising and communications campaigns
Excellent oral and written communication skills to prepare marketing and communication strategies and other correspondence.
Ability to develop relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience working in a high-pressure environment and managing competing priorities and tight timeframes.
Understanding of broad marketing, advertising and communications strategies and tools.
Knowledge of local government, media or political environments.
