The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a forward-thinking and innovative leader who will provide effective leadership and management to our Asset Planning, Property and Procurement department.


Reporting to the Director Asset Planning and Strategic Projects, your key focus will be to provide strategic financial management, infrastructure and property planning including preparing, reviewing and monitoring the annual and long-term capital works plan, procurement, asset management plans and property plan.


In this position, you will be required to develop and maintain systems to support the organisation including geographic information system, asset management system and project management framework.


About You

To succeed in this position, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in property, commerce, accounting, procurement, business management, project / asset management or other relevant field is desirable
  • Extensive leadership experience in either property, strategic finance, investment planning, procurement or corporate assets / GIS
  • Demonstrated constructive leadership in the workplace by modelling high standards of work performance, positively influencing teams and individuals, negotiating, mediating and resolving conflict and clearly communicating the vision and values of Council
  • Extensive experience in project management with demonstrated delivery of projects on time and within budgetary and resource constraints
