About the opportunity
We are looking for an experienced accounting professional who is eager to add value to a well developed team. You would be responsible for providing multi-skilled support to the Accounts and Finance teams with work assignments including superannuation, BAS, accounts payable/receivable, rates reconciliation and various other reconciliations.
Our finance team is committed to individual development, and are eager to develop the right candidate.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in a finance related discipline
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience
- Current class C driver's licence.
Desirable:
- Local Government experience
- Experience using Technology One software systems
- Experience in debt recovery
- Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Availability to work flexible working hours.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- A competitive salary range of $1,327.50 - $1,486.80 (Grade 10) per week based on skills, qualifications and experience
- 35 hour working week
