Coordinator Aged and Disability Services - Community

Our Home Care Service provides aged and disability services to remote Indigenous clients. These services support clients to remain at home in their communities and empower choice in how their care is provided. Services include personal care, meals, transport, domestic assistance; as well as social activities to support clients to connect with their community. Our Home Care Services also deliver the School Nutrition Program which promotes healthy eating, school attendance and positive educational outcomes for children.


Our community based Home Care Services teams are all local Indigenous staff members, who work collaboratively with the community to ensure a partnership approach to community client care.


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Ability to mentor and engage with staff in multiple remote locations
  • Demonstrated self management skills and ability to excel in an autonomous remote environment
  • Understanding of aged and disability client needs
  • Experience in delivering aged care programs and understanding regulatory framework
  • Adaptable to changing demand of the service and clients
  • Willingness to work and live in a remote community


You will also require the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships within the community. A genuine interest in community development and making a difference in a remote based locality is required.


This position is offered on a full time fixed term basis through to 30 June 2021. A further contract term may be offered depending on funding and performance in the role.
