The Position:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, experienced and qualified candidate to join the Shire of Broome in the role of Maintenance Worker.  This position will report to the Works Team Leader – Maintenance and Works Supervisor.

The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for following work programs as directed by the Works Maintenance Supervisor and Works Team Leader – Maintenance with undertaking the maintenance and improvement of the Shire of Broome’s civil infrastructure including roads, drainage and civil infrastructure assets. This includes operating and maintaining plant and equipment, in accordance with safety and maintenance instructions and standards.

The Person We Seek:

The preferred candidate will have Medium Rigid (MR) class drivers licence and White Card (Basic Construction Industry Induction). In addition, you will have excellent physical fitness and able to work in extreme heat with experience in brick paving and concrete form works and maintenance of civil infrastructure or equivalent, previous experience in the field of Infrastructure.

Previous experience in working in the construction industry and working in the heat or similar position in a Local Government environment would be highly regarded.
