The position coordinates and undertakes responsive, timely and confidential administrative, financial and project support services including enquiry, correspondence and file management and activates appropriate referral and escalation pathways for the following programs managed from the directorate: 7-8 Transition; Home Education; and Exemptions.
The Administrative Project Officer is responsible to the Director, Conditions for Learning, for providing high quality confidential administrative services to the Partnerships, Schools and Preschools Division, and personal assistant services to the Director, including management of appointment diaries, organising meetings, venues, and conference and travel arrangements. The Administrative Project Officer ensures the effectiveness of communication and information flow between the Directorates and the Executive Director, Partnerships, Schools and Preschools and provides a contact point for internal and external clients including principals, preschool directors, schools and preschool staff, parents and service providers.

The Administrative Project Officer coordinates and works with other administrative staff in undertaking tasks associated with financial management and reporting including invoicing, processing accounts and assisting with financial monitoring and reporting and is required to maintain accurate records in information and file management databases, electronic and hard copy files.
Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) child-related employment screening prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every three years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RAN – Responding to Abuse & Neglect full day/online training course every three years. Remuneration
ASO3 $62,181 - $66,368 per annum
