AHP2 Social Worker Truancy Locum Register

The Social Worker -Truancy is a member of an inter-disciplinary team and works with children and young people with truancy, attendance, engagement and retention issues and their families. The Social Worker works with preschool and school staff, and carers/parents to develop evidence-informed interventions that include proactive, targeted and intensive strategies that can be adapted for learning and home contexts. This position works with the professional support of the Senior Social Worker

Essential Qualifications
An appropriate degree or equivalent which gives elibigility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

 Applicants are required to submit the following:

• Locum Register Application Form
• Written application (500) words and a CV (up to 1,500 words).
• Copy of current DHS child related employment screening
• Copy of current certificate of Responding to Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care Training, if available, or confirmation of enrolment in the course
• Employment Declaration

Temporary vacancies exist throughout the year and in order to meet this demand, successful applications will be placed on and drawn from the register progressively until 29 February 2020. The positions will be full and part time within the Student Support Services Schemes for Social Worker Truancy throughout metropolitan Adelaide and Country SA.
