Casual Position – no guarantee of hours


Grade 10 – Hourly rate $34.17 (plus 25% casual loading) + plus superannuation


Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicants to join our pool of Casual Rangers. 


Reporting directly to the Manager Planning Development & Compliance, you will support Broken Hill City Council in delivering valued services to the community, through the coordination of inspections to detect, control and enforce Council policies and relevant legislation across the Local Government Area of Broken Hill.


We are seeking highly motivated employee’s that are comfortable to work with both domestic and native wildlife with the initial focus of the role primarily in animal control management. The successful candidates will have proven interpersonal and communication skills, ability to take a proactive approach to their work and able to work effectively in a team and independently as required. Candidates who do not meet the essential criteria but have a keen interest in animal control or a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.


A key component of the position will be to enhance Council’s public image through responsive and effective liaison and communication with the community, businesses and other stakeholders.
