Mechanic
Base Salary Range $67,520 to $72,203 plus super
Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicant to fill the permanent full-time role of Mechanic.
Reporting directly to the Garage Coordinator, you will support Broken Hill City Council in delivering valued services to the community. The role will conduct mechanical duties for heavy vehicle and plant to ensure Councils transport fleet, plant and associated equipment is maintained to a safe, efficient and serviceable condition.
We are seeking a suitably trade qualified mechanic who has good administration and computer skills; proven communication skills; as well as recent work experience with heavy vehicle and plant. The successful candidate will have proven ability to independently manage their workflow and take a proactive approach to their work. You strive to make a real difference in your community.
A key component of the position will be to enhance Council’s public image through responsive and effective liaison and communication with the community, businesses and other stakeholders.
