A great opportunity has arisen at IRC for a Community Facilities Coordinator based in the Isaac Region. Reporting to the Manager Community Facilities, this position has accountability to lead and manage the community facilities that Council manages itself. The role, through its three (3) Area Leaders will also play a modest support role to the Program Leader Council Leased Facilities and the Senior Leasing Specialist, to help smooth workloads and create a multi-skilled Departmental Team. Some of the specific challenge for the Community Facilities Department are to continuously improve and drive performance from community facilities as well as creating a framework for the long-term sustainability of these community assets. For this position, the emphasis on customer and hospitality service and creation of community value are paramount.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Hospitality, Facility Management, Asset Management, Asset Management, or a relevant field coupled with significant experience (3-5 years) in a similar leadership role is essential;
- Demonstrated engaged leadership skills with the ability to resource, supervise and lead teams; drive cultural and organisational change with a highly evolved emotional intelligence is essential;
- Proven working knowledge of the core and peripheral issues for the Department including community and political awareness, relevant State and Local Government legislation and related subject matter expertise;
- Self-motivated with the ability to work as an effective team member, across different teams at the same time, at potentially different levels, with a continuous improvement approach;
- Demonstrated high level or written and interpersonal, collaborative and facilitative skills with proven ability to communicate, negotiate, investigate and consult at appropriate levels within the community, government and private sectors.

- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading;
- 12% super (in accordance with policy).
