This role will see you as an integral part of the Natural Environmental Assets Unit, within the Natural Asset Operations Section, working in the Tree Management Team. The role will involve receiving and investigating complaints and allegations of unapproved activities, undertaking appropriate measures against actions such as unlawful tree and vegetation works and may also include breaches of other regulations. These regulations will be related to Natural Reserves such as encroachment on, or unlawful development of, Council managed land, or land under management of third parties.
Key activities of this role include:
Respond to relevant complaints, conduct inspections, undertake and make records of investigations, and provide assessments to establish compliance;
Issue Penalty Infringements, Notices, Orders and correspondence from investigations and substantiated complaints in accordance with legislative guidelines, sound professional advice;
Monitor Council Natural Reserves to ensure compliance with consents or other Council approvals given.

This role provides a salary range of between $1178.45 to $1414.00 per week ($61,444 to $73,725 per annum) + superannuation + tool of trade (commuter use).
