If you are you someone who enjoys and is skilled in working on a variety of development and building issues, undertaking specialist research and technical functions as required, all whilst promoting Council’s service in the competitive Building Certification Market. This role may be for you!


In contributing to the overarching vision and purpose, you will be responsible for development applications, construction certificates, complying development certificates, swimming pool compliance certificates and building information certificates; ensuring development is carried out in accordance with relevant statutory controls. 


Key activities of this role include: 

  • Assess and determine development applications, Construction Certificates and Complying Development Certificate applications in accordance with the Act, Regulation and delegation;
  • Assess and determine other applications such as Swimming Pool Compliance Certificates and Building Information Certificates;
  • Undertake specialist technical or research functions relating to the building surveying or certification functions and prepare reports, documentation and make presentations where required.

This role provides a salary range between $73k to $92.3k per annum + superannuation.


A vehicle is provided for official duties and private use leaseback is available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy.
