Our Customer Delivery Group is where we deliver superior customer satisfaction by providing service excellence to our customers, managing general queries, readings and billing. You would be working as part of our Assistance and Recovery team, who identify and provide recommendations to support both residential and commercial customers in times of financial difficulty.

Operating Monday to Friday on a 6:00 am to 6:00 pm rotating roster, we have opportunities for individuals who display outstanding customer service capabilities with professional communication skills to deliver positive debt recovery outcomes.

Your contribution to the team and the business will be:

  • Application of debt recovery strategies, aiding successful recovery of customer debt
  • Facilitating with external vendors for property visits to engage customers and recover outstanding debt
  • Engaging with Debt Recovery Case Workers and Debt Collection Agency
  • Positively promote of our Customer Assist Program within the community, social inclusion sector and SA Water
  • Facilitating early intervention strategies to seek out the needs of customers experiencing hardship
  • Effectively provide customers with information regarding concessions, financial counselling referrals, hardship assistance, payment support and allowances where applicable. 

Your success in this role will be through:

  • Have a high degree of interpersonal and communications skills, including a confident and considerate approach to sensitive matters
  • Exceptional customer service skills with experience in debt collection / recovery environment
  • Effective communication competences and negotiation and dispute resolution skills
  • Stakeholder relationships, as you liaise with internal and external partners, including Government and Community financial counselling agencies.
