Family, Education and Community Services is responsible for the delivery of professional, high quality child care services and educational programs in the Campbelltown local government area.
We provide care to children aged 0-12 years and operate according to Early Childhood Education and Care National Regulations and the National Quality Standards and Framework.
About the role:
We are currently seeking casual Educator Support Officer for the Campbelltown Family Day Care Scheme. In this role you will be responsible for;
- Visiting educators to mentor, advise and support them on issues relating to compliance, child development, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Standards, safety, hygiene and current issues regarding Family Day Care.
- Assisting in the training of educators and development of training packages as required.
- Providing support, assistance and monitoring of educators with professional development needs, problem solving, providing a safe environment for children and inclusion of children with additional needs.
- Reviewing and evaluating educator’s performance.
- Advising and supporting educators in establishing and maintaining records of individual children’s development and appropriate programming of activities to suit their interests and strengths.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Diploma of Education and Care Services or equivalent qualification as recognised by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
- Current Class C drivers licence.
- Current First Aid Certificate and approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
- Cleared Working with Children Check
- Knowledge and understanding of child development (0 – 12 years) and previous experience in working with programming and planning for children aged 0-12 years.
- Knowledge and understanding of Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, Early Years Learning Framework, Framework for School Age Care, and Child Protection Legislation.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
- Effective interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
- Commitment to a customer focussed service and to working cooperatively as a team member.
